I had a great meal here.
They gave me a small cup of the gumbo, which is only on the menu as an entree. I wanted to try it, but not have it as my meal. The gumbo was very good, and had a good amount of protein in it.
The shrimp and grits were outstanding. Great flavor and texture. Everything about it was fantastic. It was filling, but not heavy, and it didn't make me feel stuffed. The sauce was so good it made me want to lick the plate!
I had the bread pudding, which was also delicious. Great texture added with one of the pieces scored and charred. The sauce was excellent. The only thing lacking was I wish it had more of the sauce.
This is the only time I have been here, but judging by my experience I would recommend it.
We were seated upstairs on the outdoor balcony and it is so beautiful. The atmosphere inside was super cozy, and it smelled like seafood when you walked in. I was definitely taken aback by the decor and the beautiful green staircase! For an appetizer we ordered the hush puppies. They were phenomenal. The honey, barbecue dipping sauce reminded me of Grifos chips. We also got a seafood dip, and it was really good. The special last night was a pork tenderloin with peas and potatoes and that was ordered as well as the seafood fettuccine. Our food was great! I cannot wait to go back.
S’mores espresso martini! I’ll be back just for that lol delish. Great food and vibe. One crab cake for an appetizer, was not worth the $18. Everything needed a little salt n pepper but overall the food was good. I enjoyed my experience.
Good was AMAZING. We had the salmon (perfectly cooked, excellently seasoned) over cheesy polenta. Pesto cream pasta was outstanding (fresh veggies were perfectly al dente in the sauce). The calzone was quite literally as big as my head. Dylan was our server and was EXCELLENT. The whole staff seemed welcoming and easy going.
The restaurant has an upstairs that almost has a coffee house vibe and a downstairs that has a speakeasy vibe. The downstairs has room for a small love music combo and a separate downstairs bar.
A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Will absolutely be back.
I ordered the Deep Dish pizza and I told the server I didn't want mushrooms. Well unfortunately there were alot of mushrooms in it and I spent the majority of my time picking them out so I didn't get to fully enjoy the meal. The pizza itself was still good though. And their glasses had white spots in them. I can't say it was the first impression I was hoping for but all in all it wasn't a bad place. The server was nice. I didn't ask for a discount or for them to remake my pizza cause that pizza take a while to make. I'll go at least one more time and just pray that the first day they were just having an off day. It wasn't my most favorite $80 experience but oh well.
The staff was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect. We were able to eat outside on a cool evening because the heaters kept it comfortable. Beautiful area outside with live music to add to the experience. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The staff allowed the meal to be paced just the way it should. We were not rushed through. Soup to nuts, we loved it and highly recommend it .
Unbelievable!!! What a great experience. Bloody Mary had a nice kick. I had the jambalaya-excellent. We had a group of 12, the servers were on top of everything. They have Beignets for dessert. Perfect complement to dinner. Add it to the ‘must do’ list!!
Lou Lou is an odd combination of Cajun cuisine and deep dish pizza, but to say that they excel at both is an understatement.
The crab cakes are good, but the Bayou Dip is a must.
We enjoy the étouffée, gumbo, red beans & rice, shrimp & grits, and the chicken carbonara.
Their deep dish pizza is some of the best to be found outside of Chicago.
They usually have a decent wine and bourbon selection, as well.
And the service is always top notch--you really cannot go wrong here.
